Christmas shopping for... The James Bond Wannabe

Coming back to my frantic Christmas shopping, I'd like to dedicate some time to the stylish men around, and up first are the ones who dream they could be James Bond.

I've done a quick survey in my team and my ever helpful male colleagues don't think they'd like to be James Bond (you see, for them, working 15 hour days in an office is better than being James Bond...) Those slightly perturbed specimens aside, most of the guys I know would love to live the 007 lifestyle, from the gadgets to the cars, not to mention the girls. So for the ones who prefer an Aston Martin to the London Underground Central Line here are my top picks.

1. The iconic dress shirt: This place is where the shirts for most James Bond actors have been sourced since Dr No. Their shirts are exceptionally well-made, of extremely high quality material. My favourite dress shirt is the Classic White Marcella, which includes no pleats or fancy schmancy embellishments, to me it is classic perfection.
Find it at Turnbull & Asser in Mayfair or on http://store.turnbullandasser.co.uk/ for £165

2. A Vintage postcards set: If you can't own one, you can definitely dream about a few... Vintage cars that is. Give him a set of these, or better even, two (one with English cars, one with Italian cars). They are genuinely vintage.

3. The fabulous timepiece: Its price is enough to set your eyes afloat, but the Omega Seamaster James Bond quartz watch has everything going for it. Hubby dearest loved it when I gave it to him for his 30th, so that's bound to be a seal of approval.
Find it at Omega retailers such as http://www.ernestjones.co.uk/ for £1160 approx.

4. The time-out shoes: Our favourite spy cannot be constantly in black-tie, and these Loake shoes are perfect for less formal occasions, yet they are incredibly elegant. The leather colour looks like it will develop great patina over time.
Get them on Loake at http://www.my-wardrobe.com/ for £155

5. The peacoat: It's cold out and a woolen peacoat makes covering up easy at the week-ends. I recommend this Junk de Luxe one with a high neckline, in grey. Guaranteed to keep your own James Bond warm.
Currently at £195 on http://www.urbanoutfitters.co.uk/
