Is it the 20th yet???

I can't wait for the 20th of February... Why you ask? Because that's the day the Sonia Rykiel for H&M collection will hit the stores in London, and for once, I'm truly excited about a designer association with a big high street brand.

Unfortunately, some of the recent associations were not for me: the Jimmy Choo for H&M collection was simply too "working girl" for my taste (Patent zebra print platform sandals? Seriously?), whilst the Christopher Kane for Topshop series was beautiful but made in such rough low-quality fabrics I didn't dare even try one piece on...

If the pictures are to be believed, Sonia Rykiel for H&M will be in another league; already the lingerie collection they did last season was quite impressive. I really can't wait to feel the knits and see how the pieces fall around the body. I love the prêt-à-porter collections at Rykiel so really looking forward to this!

Given that I think I will not be alone in this case, I'm thinking of drawing up a little action plan like turning up equipped with my venti Starbucks drip and an umbrella at my local H&M by Harvey Nicks before store opening on the 20th to enter the shop amongst the first customers, just in case... Still, don't expect to spot me fighting over a t-shirt with another fashionista, that would just be a step too far for me, even in the name of fashion obsession.
