My new Bottega Veneta Cabat

One of the new things in my life is that with the little baba around I'm walking around much more and have a lot of time to wander up to roads such as Sloane Street, Knightsbridge, Bond Street etc which are filled with temptations.

A few weeks ago, we went off to Sloane Street and as we were walking up to Harvey Nichols I felt myself inexplicably drawn to the Bottega Veneta shop. I immediately spotted a couple of bags in the most gorgeous turquoise hue, and when one of the sales assistants mentioned they had it in the Cabat style I knew I was lost. When she brought it out, there was just no way I could leave the shop without this gorgeous little baby, no way, no how! The lady didn't even have to unleash her marketing spin on me, I was sold at the first sight of intreciatto leather. And the smell, it's totally intoxicating!

Besides these impulsive feelings, I also knew that the Cabat, more than the Veneta hobo which is the style I usually go for, would be a perfect handbag to stylishly carry around all my usual bits and bobs but also a few nappies, a changing mat, baby cream, bottles etc... I just need to find a big enough organiser to go in it as I absolutely hate messy bags, and I don't think my large VIP pocket by Tintamar will be sufficient.

Here it is in my lounge, waiting for its first summer outing, hopefully very soon!!

It´s absolutely stunning! I once saw one in cerise, and I was blown away. Is this the large Cabas? I really need to check them out. They seem really practical too.

Thanks Kat! It's actually the medium one, as the large one would have been too big for me I think. I love that I can stuff it with things and it is still lighter than my birkins.

Kat, I promise I will post more pics, maybe a couple of action shots. It's a bit tough setting up a "photo shoot" when Mr Baby demands my attention 18 hours a day!!

Oh, I completely understand. It must be hard doing such things with your little precious darling by your side!
