Favourite hotels: Hotel Arts Barcelona

Sometimes it feels like I travel too much for work, but the flipside of the endless waits for flights in random airports is that I get to discover truly cool hotels, such as Hotel Arts Barcelona.

There is so much to love about this place, from the beachside location to the decor, the delicious food, and the amazing flower arrangements (which were all summery pink when I checked in on Wednesday but changed to orange autumnal by the next morning, fabulous house elves I'll say!)

I love the rooms which are so comfortable and zen-like, I'm only sorry that I don't get to enjoy them more, what with client meetings and business dinners.

We ate at in-house wonder-restaurant Enoteca, a place where local and international flavours are mixed to create a truly magical cuisine; I had a delicious lobster risotto and the catalana soup of almond and garlic was absolutely amazing.

This is a real 5* hotel, and nothing disappoints, from the boutiques to the hairdresser (where I got one of the best blowdries I've had in months, in just 30 minutes before heading out to a client cocktail)... all in a very cool modern architecture surrounded by fabulously edgy Barcelona. I love coming here, it makes me forget all the flight delays.

My FAVE place too, I had to buy the candle they use, the smell was as good as the hotel. KW
