Shopping finds in London's Little Venice

Last week-end I spent the afternoon with Monsieur Baby and Hubby Dearest in a neighbourhood where I rarely shop: Little Venice. This area, located in West London not too far from Paddington station, is full of little canals, ... yes, that's why it's called Little Venice. The area is quite residential and there are little shops around but whatever there is is really unique, no big high street chains here!

We stopped by the shop and workshop of inspired designer Suzannah to check out her collection of 1940s inspired dress... After chatting with Suzannah, I tried a couple of pieces, before settling on a vintage-inspired silk cotton printed dress, called Joanie. It has a beautiful tailored cut which flatters my shape whilst feeling incredibly comfortable, and the fabric is amazing! I'm thinking of coming back for one of the tea dresses as well, they look fantastic!

A few streets away we found another little gem called Pipa, with a cool selection from a pretty nice crowd including By Malene Birger, Cacharel and American Vintage, whilst the basement is a children's toys emporium. We picked up a Pipa branded silk blouse for me, a little maraca for Monsieur Baby who seems to love them since he stated Monkey Music (please make this stop before he is twelve and asks for a full set of drums), and a little mobile for Hubby Dearest's newborn niece.

I wore another comfy week-end outfit, with my permanent jeans, a cashmere jumper dress and some flats... and Monsieur Baby snuggled up in his 7A.M. Enfant Sac Igloo... can't believe we've pulled it out already!
