Friday's MyTheresa lust-have

Ok, jeans go with everything (almost...), from a white t-shirt to a sequined evening top or a chunky knit, they are the bread of clothes. Side note: whilst an avid consumption of bread isn't necessarily compatible with skinny jeans it goes with just about any other food, hence why I can't seem to be able to give up on carbs just yet, sigh...

But, amongst all the types of tops you can wear with a dark-wash denim, only one deserves the title of perfect match, in my opinion: the romantic printed blouse. Whether you accessorize with ballerinas, espadrilles or heeled sandals, it is a great day-to-evening look to sport across the seasons. Which surely is the explanation as to why there are so many jeans and blouses in my walk-in wardrobe! It's not that I'm a compulsive fashionista, it's just that whenever I find a look that works for me, I tend to replicate in different styles to infinity (shift dresses for the office, caftans for the beach, etc.)

Now... not all romantic blouses are equal, it takes a lot to make a perfect blouse, and I think English designer Alice by Temperley has mastered the art of the perfect boho yet fabulously constructed blouse... I'm in awe of this little model in powder pink with navy floral print... It has everything I love in a blouse: a round edged-hem so it doesn't look awkward when worn over the jeans rather than tucked in, a little bit of frill and ribbons to make it unique, a flattering neckline and shoulder detail, buttons so it doesn't get confused with a smock. Swoon!
