Yesterday I went to Globetrotter my newly monogrammed trolley case, and I decided to do a little bit of research on nude pumps...
I had been looking for a nude pump with a small heel for a while and couldn't find anything that I liked: every pair I saw was either too high, too low, too pointy, too camel (I like a powdery nude, not beige, not pink, not camel), I was starting to despair. Just to check, I popped into Jimmy Choo to see if maybe something from their 24:7 collection could fit the bill.
The 24:7 collection is basically all a girl needs in terms of shoes, from 5'' evening killers to flat peep-toe ballerinas, and, of course, a wide choice of everyday running-around heels.
The Gilbert (this is the official name of these babies) is a classic 85mm (3.3'') with an almond toe, which features two nude options: patent and kid leather. I agonised between the two for about five minutes, before deciding the patent looked a little bit more modern, yet still classic: the kid version looked amazing in black, but in nude it looked just a little too safe for my liking. Patent it was! I had finally found the perfect summer office shoe!
So there you go, that's this week's fashion confession. What is yours? By the way, I was told by the shop assistant that these are running out fast, thanks to their comfortable heel and easy to match colour, but you can order some in most sizes here: Jimmy Choo Gilbert pumps in patent nude.
