I have to say, so far the AW 2012 collections are incredibly tempting, it's like they are all attracting me to splurge... alas, I'm not one of those lucky ladies who can spend without counting so it's a good thing that, for those trends that I'm not convinced will survive past the next six months, the high street has gotten better and quicker at providing some much more economical inspired pieces.
This week, I'll be focusing on the fabulously artistic and glamourous collection of Dolce & Gabbana, who launched a flurry of models dripping with dark colours, lace, gold trimmings, and some pretty inspired cherub and winter floral prints. Do I hear rococo?
I mean just look at the pictures from the catwalk, if you ever wanted to look like a Sicilian bombshell from the 1950s, this is probably as close as you'll ever get... A skirt will just set you off a few hundred pounds!
Or, if you're, like me, part of the 80% of women who love fashion but have to prioritise according to budget (Burberry investment piece, yes, D&G trendy cherubs and flowers, hmmm, not sure), you look for options to channel the look without breaking the bank. My favourite is this Limited Edition skirt by Oasis, yours for just £45, or if you insist on the cherubs check out this mini at River Island, a song at just £30.
How about you, any steal finds this week? Do tell!
