Christmas outfits (1): Black, gold, baroque, and ready to party!

Right, Christmas is almost here (at least, that's what the calendar says, for everyone who's involved in advertisement and marketing it appears it actually started months ago, judging from the displays and TV ads), and everyone in London is busy planning their holidays: family reunions, escapes to a deserted island far from family feuds, ski extravaganza, everything goes really... but before that, we all have to go through the  biggest party season of the year, and that means only one thing: outfit planning! Don't tell me you haven't at least thought about it... (if you haven't, what are you waiting for?!)

So, I'm going to do a little series about what to wear in the run up to Christmas and then for the holidays... and some little finds, starting with an outfit idea for all those Christmas parties which are not too formal but still require to dress up a bit. I'm feeling black, baroque, and dashings of gold. A short skirt is good, and so is a long-sleeve top (even if it comes with a full lace see-through back... it will still protect you from the cold!)

Here are the links to my picks:
- Fur shield coat (I MUST get this into my wardrobe, I love it so much!), AllSaints
-  Lace back top, aka a sneaky show-stopper, Theory
- Gold fleur de lys skirt (regal and dark... perfect!), AWear
- Black and gold mary-janes, the ideal party shoes... stable and gorgeous! Aperlai
- Gold cage clutch (good for Chanel lippy, not good for breath freshener), Sara Battaglia
- Octagonal bangle set (I think a couple of sets would look perfect...), Accessorize

Have a fabulous Saturday everyone!

I love the skirt, I have one a little bit like it that I've never worn, because it's a little bit short... I think you've inspired me to break it out!
