Decking the halls, the 2012 series (3)

Christmas is almost upon us... and so it's only fitting that I conclude my Christmas decorations series today with our 2012 Christmas tree. As usual, we went up to the Fulham Palace Garden Centre to pick our tree, a slim Nordmann Fir which looks lovely in our small grown-ups grey living room (the other one is currently being used as a play room, estimated date for return to original use still to be confirmed...)

Keeping with the rest of the house, we kept the baubles and decorations to a simple mix of clear glass and white, and my big fear was the tree would end up looking quite cold and scarcely decorated, whilst I was trying to go for a glitter-less and tinsel-free winter wonderland look... Let's see if you think I succeeded.

Our baubles are a mix of old treasures and old finds, which is what I love about changing themes for Christmas: I get to indulge in my love of shopping but still use some of my oldest baubles, such as the crystal ones we bought in Prague all those years ago.

Anyways that's it for this year: decorations all done, ready to party! Merry Christmas everyone and lots of love from the LittleS house. xxx
