It's taken so long for Summer to arrive that I'm now frantically trying to find time to wear and picture all my favourite season pieces, even though work travel has gotten significantly in the way these last few weeks... I guess that's what happens when you're lucky enough to increase your client base, so I can't complain, but still it would be nice to be able to post a bit more regularly, especially as I know my dear readers like outfit posts the most...
I've had lots of fun these last few days, making the most of the beautiful weather with fun outfits, but this is the first we've had time to picture!
Yesterday I made the most of a day without client meetings to go a little boho in the office: you know how much I love Isabel Marant, well I recently came across Maison Scotch and their gorgeous little jackets, oh so cute and whimsical and with a much easier price than Isabel's creations. I picked this metallic piece from their Summer collection at the Notting Hill boutique, and have worn it with dresses, jeans and now light camel trousers for work, it's so versatile! Yes it has some .. hmmm... interesting embellishments, shells and mini turquoise skulls, but nobody really looks that close in an office so I was safe :)
I added to the boho vibe with a layered lace and silk top I've had for a couple of years, it's interesting enough and adds texture, without being too loud thanks to the colour. To finish off, some very bland trousers and neutral accessories (I didn't want to go too crazy on the boho!!)
- Metallic collarless blazer with embellishments, Maison Scotch
- Lace layered top, The Kooples (old collection), this Vero Moda one is close
- Trousers, Theory
- Suede tie-up sandals, Aquazzura
