It's time for the Sunday fashion confession

This week, I traveled to Boston for work and thankfully I was able to tag a little evening shopping on top of my day... That's one of the things I like about the US versus the UK, most cities have shops which will close at 8pm or later, making a little fashion expedition possible at the end of a long day of work. In London, most places seem to close around 7pm on week days, far too early for busy workaholics cum fashionistas.

I have a ritual whenever I'm in the US with a couple of hours to go out shopping: my first stop is always, without fail, J.Crew. Although the one I found in Boston, at the Copley Place Mall, is slightly underwhelming in terms of J.Crew collection pieces and other special items and didn't have any of the Petite sizes, I was able to find a few of the pieces I'd been lusting for on the website... and I guess that will have to do until my next trip to NY or the long-awaited opening of the London shops (there will be one very soon in Brompton Cross, hurray!).

I love embellishment on knits and tee-shirts, however it's a trend that can easily go wrong and that's why I turned to J.Crew's cool and casual take on preppy classics, stocking on a few jewelled pieces which will be perfect in my Autumn wardrobe.

Here they are, two knit jumpers and one tee-shirt, ready to bling up any outfit in the new season.

Not planning any trip to the US but liking my picks? Here are the links to each one of these gorgeous embellished tops:
J.Crew Tippi baseball sweater with removable collar
J.Crew Jeweled two-tone sweater
J.Crew Necklace stripe tee

Happy Sunday dear friends!

Realise this is very old, but what size did you get thesein and what UK size do you think they equate to? On the J-Crew site for example it states the small is equivalent to an 8? Your opinion would be greatly appreciated!

P.S. Loving the blog - keep those posts coming when you can, and I LOVE your Simple flannels pumps!

Hi! Thanks for your praise, I'm trying to keep the posts coming! I take all my tee-shirts in S from J.Crew, that's about 10-12 UK. For UK size 8 I'd definitely recommend XS.
