An evening in the magical world of Beulah

Ladies, big news... Beulah, the brand behind ethical gorgeous fashion that has bewitched princesses, socialites and fashionistas the country over, has finally found a home and opened a boutique in my favourite Belgravia corner, at 57 Elizabeth Street.

The other day, I was lucky enough to be invited by the lovely co-founders, Natasha and Lavinia, for a private shopping evening with a few girlfriends. I have to say this was quite the treat in the middle of a few too many business trips and late evening conference calls! Both my friends and I were quite delighted for the opportunity to escape for a few blissful hours our lives of meetings, nappy duties and general rushed lives for a little girly fun shopping for fabulous dresses, sipping bubbly and eating cupcakes. What a treat!

I must tell you, it was not easy deciding which dress to pick, for the AW 2013 collection is even more fabulous than the previous ones, and after trying a few and agonising over whether to pick a print or a block colour, my heart set on the Cleopatra dress, in purple silk, with a secret message seamed inside the waistline. This Holiday season, Beulah is offering customers to embroider messages on their iconic Shibani scarves, so I coaxed them into letting me pick Painted Lady shawl to be embroidered in silver for me... It will be my very own unique Beulah piece!

The shop on Elizabeth Street holds the current AW 2013 collection, a mix of day dresses, cocktail numbers and evening gowns, and both Natasha and Lavinia are on hand to help customers pick their perfect piece, clad in their own designs and being the perfect models for the glamourous styles (look at me boldly posing between the two of them, I look like a little dumpling!!!). Most of my friends tried pieces they wouldn't have initially considered and we all came out with a little piece for the upcoming party season! Success!
