Wednesday's beauty essential: Therapie's Himalayan Detox Salts

Have you ever had one of those days when every little particle in the universe seems to be conspiring to make your day and endless accumulation of miserable moments?

For instance, take my day today... I arrived at work a few minutes later than I normally like, just after 7am, and realised I'd forgotten my badge and had to queue at the security office to gain entrance; why anyone who doesn't work in my office would decide to go in voluntarily I cannot fathom, especially after today... but the security staff take their job very, and I mean very, seriously, so that process was somewhat lengthy. From then on it was a sequence of having to listen to people who were blatantly taking me for an idiot who can't read through their lies or simply treating me like some low-grade personal secretary; it seems today it was the day they had let the chauvinist piglets out.

Oh well. Hopefully tomorrow those escapees from the 1950s will be busy making another female colleague's life a misery. Until then, it's time for me to pick myself up and try to destress before my trip to see clients tomorrow. No point grovelling in self commiseration. First I put myself through an hour at Heartcore Pilates. And now I'm about to go upstairs, and indulge in one very special bath using what can only be described as natural valium for the stressed souls like me.

These salts are the best to destress, reduce anxiousness (if someone needs any of that, I have loads to offload tonight) and re-balance energy, but also, amazingly, reduce insomnia, an ailment I've suffered from ever since I've started working and met some unpleasant characters who are all about self-promotion, over their own madres if it would help.

Himalayan pink salt is renowned for its therapeutic characteristics in food, but applied like this in bath salts it's truly incredible. You must try them. And so do I, if I want to get some zzz tonight!
